Born 1939 Omaha, NE (USA)

While at the University of Nebraksa, Lincoln, Anania clashed with Karl Shapiro, though Shapiro later would become a friend. Other influences include W.H. Auden and William Carlos Williams. Anania's poetry has appeared in many anthologies and has been translated into Italian, German, French, Spanish and Czech.
