Daniel Simon

Born 1967 Fremont , NE (USA)

Daniel Simon was born in Fremont's Dodge County Hospital, grew up in North Bend and Louisville, received his BA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and earned an MA and PhD from Indiana University Bloomington. A poet and translator, he is the author of two verse collections and edited Nebraska Poetry: A Sesquicentennial Anthology, 1867-2017. Individual poems have been reprinted in the anthologies World English Poetry (2015) and Oklahoma Poems . . . and Their Poets (2014) and translated into French, German, Greek, Spanish, and Turkish. He is currently assistant director and editor in chief of World Literature Today magazine at the University of Oklahoma, where he also teaches for the Department of English.
