Reuben Snake was a Winnebago Tribal Leader and campaigner for the religious rights of Native Americans. He was widely known by the nickname "Your Humble Servant." Snake's manuscript materials, including autobiographical materials and correspondence, were donated to the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C.
