Jim Overturf was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. He moved to Southern California in the mid 1950s where he went to school and then traveled the world building power plants as an engineer/project manager. After he retired he took up writing amateur sleuth mysteries. He eventually moved back to Lincoln, Nebraska where he currently resides with his wife Karen.
