Helen P. Hostetter

Born Douglas, NE (USA)

Hostetter was a pioneering woman in journalism education and professor of journalism for many years at Kansas State University. She was a 1917 graduate of the University of Nebraska. In the 1920s she taught English at Lingnan University in Canton, China. In the 1930s she cycled across France and Switzerland. She served as editor of the Journal of Home Economics, and earned many honors for her work in journalism and education.

The Heritage Room Archive includes Scrapbooks with photographs and a 1931 travel diary.
