Hannah Logasa

A Ukrainian immigrant who grew up in Omaha, Logasa orked at the Omaha Public Library from 1904-1914. From her positions as Head Librarian at the University of Chicago Laboratory High School and on the Education Faculty at the University of Chicago, Logasa set up guidelines and standards for school libraries, and led the professionalization of the discipline. She published bibliographic indexes that served as essential resources for generations of school librarians.
