A writer of short stories, plays and poems for children, Sorenson also edited the children's magazine The Children of the United States which published contributions by children (1900-1906), and published Every Child's Magazine 1914-1932.

Grace Sorenson was the daughter of Omaha newspaperman Alfred Sorenson.
