Born and raised in Omaha, Erin Belieu is the author of four award-winning collections of poetry, founding editor of Hotel Amerika, co-founder of VIDA: Women in the Literary Arts, and director of the Creative Writing Program at Florida State University. With Susan Aizenberg, she co-edited The Extraordinary Tide (2002), an anthology of American women's poetry. Her most recent collections, Slant Six (2014), was named a top ten book of the year by the New York Times Book Review.
