Donald A. Wilhite

AKA: Don Wilhite

Born 1945

Emeritus Climatologist and Drought Management Specialist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's School of Natural Resources. Former Director of the School of Natural Resources, 2007-2012. Wilhite was the founding director of the International Drought Information Center (1989) and of the National Drought Mitigation Center (NDMC) in 1995. He served as director of the NDMC from 1995 until 2007. Contributing author and cartography editor for the 2017 Atlas of Nebraska.
