A Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Nebraska 1950-1969, Clifton was a founder of Selection Research, Inc. (SRI), which eventually acquired Gallup. Clifton developed the eponymous Clifton Strengths Finder, Gallup’s online psychological assessment. The Clifton Foundation donated $30 million to the University of Nebraska to establish the Don Clifton Strengths Institute.
