Diane Quantic

Born 1941 KS (USA)

A native of Manhattan, Kansas, Quantic is a widely-read scholar of Great Plains literature and long-time professor of English at Wichita State University in Kansas. Her book The Nature of the Place: A Study of Great Plains Fiction won the 1995 Society of Midland Author's award for nonfiction.

Quantic was a visiting scholar at Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska in 2001. Two of her books, including The Nature of Place were published by University of Nebraska Press. Not a Nebraska author but retained in the database for these connections.
