Beth Streeter Aldrich biographer and scholar, Carol Miles Petersen was a poet who won the Seaton Poetry Award, Nebraska Humanities Council Award, and a Louise Pound Fellowship. Miles taught in the English departments at both UNL and UNO as well as Fremont Midland College.
