Becky Boesen

AKA: Becky Key Boesen

Boesen is a former Executive Director of the Angels Theatre Company, and former Executive Artistic Director of Flatwater Shakespeare Company, both in Lincoln. She is an actress, playwright, stage producer and director, musical lyricist and arts educator. She has been recognized as a “Playwright of Merit,” by the Nebraska Arts Council, is a three-time Lincoln, Nebraska Mayor’s Arts Award recipient. In 2017 she was a finalist for the American Academy of Arts and Letters Richard Rodgers Award. She is a co-founder and Chief Creative Officer at BLIXT, an organization that develops new theatrical works. Her work has been staged at the Lied Center for the Performing Arts and Crane River Theater, among many other venues. She has written two musicals with composer David von Kampen, Puddin’ and the Grumble, and Catherland.
