The author is a weekend morning host for NET radio. She is a jazz performer who has had leading roles in many local or regional theatrical productions. Murrell is a guest vocalist with the Nebraska Jazz Orchestra and the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra and has also appeared on PBS television's music program Backstage Pass. She has her own website Annette Murrell (Dr. Diva).
