Long time naturalist at the Chet Ager Nature Center in Lincoln, Nebraska's Pioneers Park. Author of Wild Seasons: Gathering and Cooking Wild Foods, 1993. Young was a memorable interviewee on Roger Welsch's "Roger &" television program on NET. Young's family boarded poet John Neihardt in his old age, and her memoir of him is in her vertical file in the Heritage Room.
