James L. Sellers Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. American cultural historian who wrote well reviewed and widely admired books about the role of sports in American culture. His books on sports have been translated into German, Japanese and Swedish. His most recent work is a multi-generational history of the Ozarks neighborhood where he was born.
